Seeking the Next Challenge

I made a detour from a 20+ year career in international development because I saw a gap in my own resume.  I had been working to build democracy through strengthening nonprofits around the world, but had no hands-on, grassroots, service delivery experience in my own community.  I’ve fixed that gap!

Now, after six years with Caritas of Austin, the largest social service agency in Travis County, I have a much deeper skill set in all facets of what makes nonprofits effective change agents and engines of social and economic development.  I’ve added so many new skills and experiences – most recently evidenced in this new website created with WordPress to help articulate my diverse experience and passion as I begin to look for the next challenge.

What hasn’t changed is my ability to multi-task, think strategically and pull together the details and community connections that convert strategic vision into progress that improves people’s lives.  I’m an idea volcano who can define a vision and make it happen.
